Abstract
Chapter 5 continues the movement of the text toward greater specificity and focuses on the characteristics of PMT treatment: the content, tenor, and structure of the treatment sessions and the roles and tasks of the therapist and parents. Variations of PMT are presented as they have emerged in treatment of children of various ages and in different contexts (including the Incredible Years Training Series; Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for oppositional children; Positive Parenting Program; Problem-Solving Skills Training and PMT for Oppositional, Aggressive, and Antisocial Children; and medication).
