Abstract
The monochlorodifluoroacetate of the γ-lactone of 3α,5β-tetrahydroaldosterone is easily prepared, sufficiently stable and can be measured in mμg amounts with an electron capture detector. When isolated from human urine by 3 thin layer chromatograms this substance is sufficiently pure for quantitative analysis by gas chromatography. The results obtained by gas chromatography were comparable to those obtained by a double isotope derivative method, while the time required for analysis was considerably less.
