About the Author

Roald Maliangkay is associate professor of Korean Studies and director of the Korea Institute at the Australian National University. He has published widely on broad developments in Korean folk and popular entertainment and is coeditor of K-pop: The International Rise of the Korean Music Industry (Routledge, 2015).
