What does it do?
SurveyMonkey® is an online questionnaire tool. Users can adopt preformatted templates or develop their own questionnaires which are used to gather information from subjects with access to e-mail via the internet or via an intranet.
What should you use it for?
There are a wide variety of potential uses. This review is based on the experience of our occupational health team. The uses have included employee and employer feedback and satisfaction surveys associated with individual experiences, organizational needs assessments for immunization campaigns including the seasonal influenza, and research projects including MFOM theses.
Relevance to occupational health practitioners—why should you use it?
SurveyMonkey® is suited to occupational medicine and occupational health. It is readily available both as an app (application) and a web-based programme. It is flexible and allows the user to set up relevant questionnaires. After collection, the resulting data are summarized in visual charts which can be exported into reports. The core data set can be exported to other statistical packages for more complex analysis.
