Objective
The male gametocytes created in spermatogenesis process and disorder in which part of this process can cause infertility. Blackberry has strong phytochemicals such as anthocyanin. Brewed drink of blackberry's leaf use for remove nausea and root of that has usage in dysentery treatment.
Methods
In this study we used mature male Wistar rats weighting 250±20 gr which separated in 2 groups. The treatment group fed 250mg/kg of blackberry's concentrate and the control group fed distilled water. After 60 days the rats get unconscious, the morphology of testis includes weight and size checked. After that we provided the testis tissue slides and count the germinal layer cells of them.
Results
All the data studied with Spss software. The result didn't show meaningful difference between testis's morphology but The count of spermatogonia, spermatocyte, spermatozoid and leydig cells increased in treatment group (p>0.01).
Conclusion
The blackberry's concentrate can increase the count of each stage of sperms and thereinafter increase fertility rate.
