Reputation for Excellence

  • JEEA is one of the leading economics journals in the field, attracting a wide range of esteemed authors.
  • Browse some of the trending articles that have contributed to our continued success.
  •  JEEA has an Impact Factor of 3.9 and is ranked 82/597 in the SSCI Economics category (2024).
  • To support the inclusion of articles in undergraduate and graduate settings, the journal invites submitting authors to include Teaching Materials alongside their research articles. Teaching materials are not required for submission.

Excellent Author Experience

JEEA has an experienced, geographically diverse editorial board, who support the international reach of your work. The editorial team and peer reviewers include experts across the different fields of economics.

A simple online submission process through the EEA.

  • Our Editors will guide your manuscript through the single anonymized peer review process with care and efficiency, helping you get your research published as quickly as possible

Global Readership

  • JEEA has a global readership, and last year articles were read over 250,000 times in 190 different countries. The journal connects your ideas and findings with the widest audience to give your research the greatest possible impact.
  • Advance access publishing means your research will be available online as soon as possible. Once a paper is accepted, the pre-proofed, pre-copyedited accepted manuscript will typically be published online within one week. It will be replaced by the final, copyedited, version of your paper.
  • The journal also uses browse-by-subject using Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) codes. Providing the relevant JEL code when submitting your paper increases discoverability of your research within JEEA’s—and OUP’s wider—audience.
