We thank the authors for their comments and the discussion of their previous results (1). This confirms that regardless of the technique used for assessing the bone turnover at different skeletal sites, regional variations of bone turnover are reported (2). This explained the relative weakness of the correlations between bone markers that reflect the whole skeleton and histomorphometric parameters measured on a small area of iliac crest (3).

Disclosure Summary: The author has nothing to disclose.
