Abstract

The infused testis has been discussed as a model system for studies of processes leading to formation and secretion of testosterone. While this model possesses certain advantages over other systems used in such studies, it is far from perfect and a rather large battery of techniques in vivo and in vitro are required in order to obtain adequate information on steroidogenesis in the male gonad.
