We are deeply grateful to the many individuals who directly and indirectly helped bring this book to fruition. This project was certainly a labor of love (and, sometimes, hate) and would not have been possible without the insights, feedback, thoughtful discourse, and disagreements of numerous friends and colleagues in the field of cyber strategy and policy. With so many people to thank, it is inevitable that we will unintentionally omit some. For this we sincerely apologize.
First, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve alongside the commissioners and staff of the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission. The commission’s willingness to tackle tough strategic challenges inspired our efforts and shaped our understanding of the policy applications of our research. We are especially lucky to have served under the leadership of co-chairs, Senator Angus King and Congressman Mike Gallagher; Executive Director, Rear Admiral (Ret.) Mark Montgomery; and the extraordinarily talented Task Force leads and Task Force One team. We also feel incredibly thankful to have worked alongside an amazing group of cyber scholars and friends, particularly Jacquelyn Schneider, Brandon Valeriano, and Benjamin Jensen.

Oxford Academic is home to a wide variety of products. The institutional subscription may not cover the content that you are trying to access. If you believe you should have access to that content, please contact your librarian.
Institutional account management
For librarians and administrators, your personal account also provides access to institutional account management. Here you will find options to view and activate subscriptions, manage institutional settings and access options, access usage statistics, and more.
