Abstract
This book is a collection of essays describing the thematic approaches to resolving legal disputes favored by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The chapter authors are carefully selected American legal scholars who used their subject matter expertise to analyze Justice Ginsburg’s voting patterns and written opinions, observing the various conceptions of fairness and equality that she endorsed and those that she rejected. Each essay was independently solicited to highlight areas of the law that Justice Ginsburg had an outsized interest in or impact upon. Together the chapters form a colorful tapestry that illustrates the long and celebrated judicial career of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
