Abstract
The parents of hearing-impaired children and the social workers who are in contact with them often must act as advocates on these children's behalf In exploring federal legislation and recent court and agency decisions, this article outlines an arsenal of procedures that can be used to ensure hearing-impaired children their right of access to education and social and health care services.
