The authors regret that an error has appeared in the above article. The terms ‘exon’ and ‘intron’ have been interchanged in the chapter LUNG CANCER: POTENTIAL CLINICAL APPLICATIONS OF GENOMIC SEQUENCING on page 605.
The sentence ‘Whole genome sequencing includes both intron (coding regions of the DNA) and exons (non-coding regions of the DNA).’ should correctly read: ‘Whole genome sequencing includes both exons (coding regions of the DNA) and introns (non-coding regions of the DNA).’
