The European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (EHJ-CVP) is an official, international, peer-reviewed journal of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy, with a specific focus on clinical cardiovascular pharmacology. It publishes original articles concerning clinical research, with new and established drugs and methods, as well as meta-analysis and topical reviews. The Journal aims to improve the pharmacological treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease through interpreting and integrating new scientific developments within this area.
While the focus is on clinical topics, basic research articles from fields such as physiology and molecular biology which contribute to an understanding of cardiovascular drug therapy are also considered, such as articles relevant to new drug development and evaluation, physiological and pharmacological bases of drug action, metabolism, drug interactions and side effects.
