About the Journal
European Heart Journal - Case Reports (EHJ – Case Reports) is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open access journal of the European Society of Cardiology. The Journal publishes high-quality, educationally valuable case reports, images, and quality improvement projects in all aspects of cardiology and cardiovascular medicine. The cases will be of interest to senior medical students and doctors during the early stage of their medical careers. Case reports from across the world will be considered. We are particularly interested in considering cases from resource restricted environments, where learning points relating to limited investigation or management choices may have important implications on a wider audience.
EHJ – Case Reports' primary aim is to provide a publishing environment that promotes learning of junior cardiologists in regards to both the published content and the review and editorial process. The Journal operates with a mentorship scheme designed to develop junior reviewers and editors under the close guidance of experienced senior reviewers and editors. To learn more about the Journal’s educational programme, please read the following editorial: EHJ - Case Reports’ Educational Training Programme.
