With the development of technology, migrants can feel like they still live in the same country even if they are far away, and authoritarian states won’t let go of them even if they have left the country and are in exile. Similarly, people in the diaspora, even if not given an official duty, don’t let the people whom they call ‘enemies of the state’ or ‘traitors’ breathe, even when outside the country. You received a lot of threats in Turkey. So have you encountered practices like this in the UK? Do you feel entirely safe here?
