The Letter to the Editor by Cheng et al. entitled “DNase1 Does Not Appear to Play a Major Role in the Fragmentation of Plasma DNA in a Knockout Mouse Model” (Clin Chem 2018;64:406–8) contains an error. The sentence on page 407 that reads:
“The blood was put into EDTA-containing collection tubes that were centrifuged at 16 000g at 4 °C for 10 min.”
“The blood was put into EDTA-containing collection tubes that were centrifuged at 1600g at 4 °C for 10 min.”
The authors regret the error.
