This photo was made in Michigan's Upper Peninsula near the city of Munising. Almost every year, I spend at least 1 week up there and often will go back to favorite spots. On this morning, it was very cloudy but with no wind. Ever so gradually, the clouds became very distinct as you see in this photo. I went to several small lakes that morning, with Thornton being the last one. My companions all agreed that it had been a magical morning.
