Abstract
In this study, we synthesized a Cu complex, [Cu6(CO3)5(bpp)6(H2O)3](NO3)2·9H2O (bpp = 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane), with a ladder-like structure. The ladder configuration is composed of Cu2+ and CO32− ions and is interconnected to 4 other ladders through bpp linker molecules. Between the ladder structures, pores constructed by bpp linkers contain NO3− ions and crystalline water molecules. The magnetic measurements revealed that Cu⋯Cu interactions in the ladder structure exhibit ferromagnetic, and the average of their magnitudes was estimated to be 8.47 K.
