Abstract
This chapter describes childhood cancer mortality in Britain during 1995–2004 in detail. Mortality rates for that period are tabulated by age group and sex for each diagnostic group and subgroup in the International Classification of Childhood Cancer, Third Edition. Mortality data for each diagnostic group are presented in tables and graphs for five-yearly periods from 1965 to 2004 to give an indication of trends over this period. Finally, the contribution of cancer to total (all causes) mortality in childhood during 1965–2004 is presented by age group and sex.
