Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of methods for assessing paraphilias. It reviews empirically supported methods for assessing paraphilias, including self-report through interview or questionnaire; behavioral history, including sexual offense history; and laboratory tasks involving viewing time or the assessment of penile response (phallometry).
