The Year’s Work in English Studies is a narrative bibliography that records and evaluates scholarly writing on English language and on literatures written in English. It is published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the English Association.
The Editors and the English Association are pleased to announce that this year’s Beatrice White Prize has been awarded to Michael Bintley for Settlements and Strongholds in Early Medieval England (Brepols).
The authors of YWES attempt to cover all significant contributions to English studies. Writers of articles can assist this process by sending offprints to the journal, and editors of journals that are not readily available in the UK are urged to join the many who send us complete sets of current and back issues.
