Residuals for the phase I dipole’s response to azimuthally polarized radiation with 32, 128, and 512 basis functions at 150 MHz from top to bottom. The left column shows the real component, and the right shows the imaginary component. With just 32 basis functions, errors are below 1 per cent of the peak value almost everywhere.
