Figure 10.
These are four example H i spectra taken at the coordinates of WiFeS fields in the SMC. The H i data are from Staveley-Smith et al. (1995, 1997) and Stanimirović et al. (1999, 2004). The spectra are drawn from a data cube with a 98 arcsec beam, so around three times bigger on a side than the WiFeS field. The zero of radial velocity for the SMC has been set as 157 km s$^{-1}$ based on the distribution of our WiFeS fields. The dashed line in each plot is the radial velocity of the H $\alpha$ line for the corresponding WiFeS field. The green line is the Gaussian fit to H i emission line linked to the H $\alpha$ line. The spectra are organized by increasing Right Ascension. Top left has coordinates R.A. = 11$_{.}^{\circ }$658 Dec. = $-73_{.}^{\circ }$377, top right R.A. = 12$_{.}^{\circ }$702 Dec. = $-73_{.}^{\circ }$348, bottom left R.A. = 15$_{.}^{\circ }$842 Dec. = $-72_{.}^{\circ }$060, and bottom right R.A. = 18$_{.}^{\circ }$961 Dec. = $-73_{.}^{\circ }$182.
