Data collection process. Step 1: Reference Wikipedia and books on academic history in nine disciplines, and collect notable people and their magnum opuses. Step 2: Search for notable people in the encyclopedia websites, and further identify their representative works through biographies. Step 3: Combine the magnum opuses collected in Step 2 and Step 1 to form a book list (or, to be precise, a publication list). Step4 : Google every title in the book list to find bibliographic metadata for these books. For the metadata of the paper, see Supplementary Material, section 6. Step 5: Establish a dataset, which contains the title, author, year of publication, place of publication, and other information of all 2001 magnum opuses.
