Hazard ratios (HRs) for the 10th–90th percentile difference in each score and corresponding 95% CIs are indicated. The models were stratified by age (in month), calendar year, and cohort, and adjusted for cigarette smoking (continuous), alcohol intake (continuous), physical activity (continuous), regular aspirin use (yes or no), regular non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs use (yes or no), post-menopausal hormone use (pre-menopausal, never, past, or current use) for women, history of colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy (yes or no), family history of colorectal cancer in any first-degree relatives (yes or no), multivitamin use (yes or no) and total energy intake (continuous).
