Variability in the number and spatial extent of face-selective clusters in the right ventral occipitotemporal cortex (VOTC) across all 25 participants. The number of clusters varies between 1 (e.g., S07; S11; S19) and 7 (S01, S22). All the clusters are displayed within a VOTC mask (VOTC = LO + midFus + ATL, see Materials and Methods for the definition of the ROIs). Different clusters are coded by different colors, and the number of clusters in each individual brain is represented by the number of dots below each glass brain. Individual brains are in their native space, aligned to the AC-PC plane.
