Brain magnetic resonance imaging showed in a T2-enhanced steady-state gradient echo sequences a left internal occipital sub-arachnoid haemorrhage (upper panel, indicated by the arrow) and cerebral angiography demonstrated a mycotic aneurysm of the left cerebral posterior artery before (lower left panel, aneurysm indicated by the arrow) and after endovascular coiling (lower right panel, coil indicated by the arrow).
