The distribution of WH α for the 124 ELGs in our sample, where the error bars are |$1/\sqrt{N}$|. For equivalent widths larger than ∼20–30 Å the distribution declines steeply with incompleteness kicking in below ∼5 Å. We have fitted a line with slope −1.5 and an intercept of 3.8.
