EW_Hα as a function of density with colour representing the stellar mass for VL1, VL2 and VL3 (panels a, b and c, respectively) for the ‘star-forming’ sample. The lines were derived by taking the median EWs in bins of stellar mass within a series of density bins. There is no relationship between EW_Hα and density for any stellar mass.
