The test for completeness T_C applied to the SSRS2 all types galaxies (top) with redshifts between 2500 and 7500 km s⁻¹ (2416 galaxies with a mean k-correction of 0.048 mag) (bottom) with redshifts between 2500 and 15 000 km s⁻¹ and a galactic extinction (1260 galaxies). The systematic decline at is present in both cases, suggesting that the imcompleteness cannot be explained by an improper k-correction term or Galactic extinction correction.
