High convection volumes appeared to be associated with a lower risk of dying from cardiac causes and unclassified CVD than a low convection volume (P for trend, respectively, 0.03 and 0.05). No such a pattern was observed for fatal non-cardiac CVD (P for trend 0.74). The annualized fatal events per 100 patient-years are shown in Table 3 and Figure 1.
