Abbreviations: CI, confidence interval; DTC-2, differentiated thyroid cancer as a second malignancy; n, number of deaths; OR, odds ratio.

aThis analysis included all second primary differentiated thyroid cancer patients. The hazard period was defined as the 1 month (30 days) preceding cardiovascular death and the control periods as the 17 1-month periods preceding the hazard period.

bThe OR is the odds a case would have fallen within the hazard period in the cardiovascular deaths group vs that in the matched cases group.
