a

Reasons for not being sexually active.

b

Having experienced rejection by potential sexual partner due to bladder management.

c

Some women who are not sexually active have indicated that they would need to make preparations regarding urinary incontinence before sexual activities. Preparations regarding urinary incontinence before sexual activities included voiding the bladder, usage of protective pads and emptying the bowel. Only participants with SPC were asked the questions about the influence of the catheter on self-image or if it was a hindrance during sexual activity.
