Results of water mass-loss through microwave heating using the DMI. Runs were performed for 10, 15, and 30 min using 250 W microwaves in a 3 mbar vacuum environment. The heating times are different to the total measuring time as additional time was required to get the system down to a pressure of 3 mbar. Mass differences calculated using the DMI are shown alongside those measured on a mass balance at each stage to 1 SD.
