The initial relative velocity between the two clouds is 10 |$\rm{km\,s}^{-1}$|⁠, but the collisional interaction decelerates the relative velocity to about 7 |$\rm{km\,s}^{-1}$| by 1.6 Myr after the onset of the collision.
