Abstract
Results are presented for a comparison of nuclear decay data for internal dosimetry derived from the recent Evaluated Nuclear Structure Data File (ENSDF) with those given in ICRP Publication 38. In most nuclides, values of half-life, branching fraction and total energy of radiations calculated from the ENSDF were in good agreement with those of Publication 38. However, significant differences in these values were found for several nuclides, notably 60Fe, 79Se, 80Sr, 108Agm, 126Ba, 202Pb, and 231Th. The causes of the differences were examined, and the influence of the revision of the nuclear decay data on the values of dose coefficients was evaluated for the selected nuclides.
