Abstract
Personal Air Samplers (PAS) have been in use at the recycle fuel fabrication laboratory at the Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories for more than three years. PAS results are used to demonstrate, at levels well below those achievable with in vivo or excreta monitoring, that no significant exposures to airborne alpha emitting actinides have occurred. The method of converting PAS results to recordable exposures is given, and the results obtained with the monitoring programme are summarised.
