Abstract
The thermoluminescence (TL) characteristics of ultra-thin CaSO4:Dy Teflon dosemeters (UT CaSO4:Dy) for beta radiation detection were investigated. The irradiations were performed with 90Sr-90Y, 204Tl and 147Pm sources. The individual reproducibility, linearity, dependence on beta absorbed dose rate, optical fading, angular and energy dependence of the dosemeters were studied. Transmission factors for different thicknesses of tissue-equivalent material were obtained for the TL detectors using the three available beta sources.
