Abstract
This chapter presents a case study concerning the author's social work experience with Sarah, a four-and-a-half-year-old girl white British girl who has been on the child protection register for a year under the category of emotional abuse. It explains that Sarah was subjected to an extreme level of verbal/emotional abuse from her mother and that she was allegedly sexually abused by her father. It discusses the social work process, the author's session with Carol, and the author's evaluation of the effectiveness of her intervention method.
