Abstract
The effects of inhibitors (vanadate, nitrate and azide) of three types of higher plant H+-ATPase on membrane-associated Mg2+-ATPase activity are often examined in the presence of sucrose. We report here that sucrose itself decreases in vanadate-sensitive ATPase activity of higher plant membranes.
