Abstract
Cytokinin, N6-(Δ2-isopentenyl) adenine, stimulates the protein synthesis of in vitro systems prepared from tobacco pith and/or one-day-old corn shoots. The maximal stimulation was found at a cytokinin concentration of 10−7 to 10−6 M and was 20 to 30% higher than the control level.
