Abstract
This chapter starts with an explanation of why White residents decided to live in Creekridge Park and how they understand themselves and their neighbors. It highlights the essence of a philosophy of diversity in understanding White Creekridge Park residents and their daily interactions with both White and non-White neighbors. Some White residents felt attracted to diversity in the neighbourhood such as with housing, lawns, sexual orientation, language, age, and skin color. However, others sometimes considered these things as the unfortunate downsides of an affordable neighborhood. Other residents explained that their move to Creekridge Park was motivated by taste rather than economic processes.
