nicole biamonte is Associate Professor of Music Theory at McGill University in Montreal. She has published research on pitch structures, form, and rhythm and meter in popular music; on 19th-century musical historicism; and on music theory pedagogy, including the edited collection Pop-Culture Pedagogy in the Music Classroom. She is a past editor of the journal Music Theory Online.

jenine brown is Assistant Professor of Music at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests include music theory pedagogy and the perception of post-tonal music. She holds a Ph.D. in music theory from the Eastman School of Music, and her publications have appeared in (or are forthcoming from) Music Perception, Engaging Students: Essays in Music Pedagogy, Journal of Music Theory Pedagogy, and The Routledge Companion to Aural Training in Music Education.

michael buchler is Professor of Music Theory at Florida State University. He served as SMT Vice President from 2013–15 and Music Theory Southeast President from 2016–18. He is currently Vice President of FSU’s faculty labor union.
