allen cadwallader is Professor of Music at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He is the coauthor with David Gagné of Analysis of Tonal Music: A Schenkerian Approach (2011, 2007, 1998), and editor of Essays from the Third International Schenker Symposium (2006) and Trends in Schenkerian Research (1990). His articles have appeared in Music Theory Spectrum, Music Analysis, Intégral, Theory and Practice, and the Journal of Music Theory.

ruth i. deford is Professor Emerita at Hunter College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Her work focuses on rhythm in the music of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. She is the author of Tactus, Mensuration, and Rhythm in Renaissance Music (Cambridge University Press, 2015).

david gagné is Professor of Music Theory Emeritus at Queens College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York. He is the coauthor with Allen Cadwallader of Analysis of Tonal Music: A Schenkerian Approach (2011, 2007, 1998) and the coeditor with Poundie Burstein of Structure and Meaning in Tonal Music: Festschrift in Honor of Carl Schachter(2006). His articles and reviews have appeared in journals and books including The Music Forum, Music Theory Spectrum, Indiana Theory Review, Intégral, Schenker Studies 2, The Journal of Schenkerian Studies, Proceedings from the Fourth International Schenker Symposium (2006)and Trends in Schenkerian Research(1990).Together with William Caplin, he presented a two-day seminar on form and analysis sponsored by the Italian theory society Gruppo di Analisi e Teoria Musicale(GATM) in Rome (2008).
