Correction to: X-ray surface brightness and gas density profiles of galaxy clusters up to 3 × R_500c with SRG/eROSITA

This is a correction to the paper entitled: ‘X-ray surface brightness and gas density profiles of galaxy clusters up to 3 × R_500c with SRG/eROSITA’, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, Volume 525, Issue 1, October 2023, Pages 898–907.

After the publication, it was realized that the description of equation (C1) in appendix C contains several typos and, as a result, might be misleading. The lines immediately after equation (C1) should read as follows:

where r, r_c, r_s, r_s2 are in arcminutes and R_500c = 10 arcmin by definition. The best-fitting values of the parameters are: |$N=1.4\times 10^{-2}\, {\rm cm^{-3}}$|⁠, r_c = 0.187, α = −0.7, β = 0.193, r_s = 20.2, γ = 3.29, ϵ = 5.73, r_s2 = 20.8, ξ = 0.698, λ = 7.99.

This was a pure typesetting issue. No other parts of the paper are affected by it.
