Mind Association Conference Grants

The Mind Association currently has two conference grant schemes. Major grants are of up to £2,000, with a guarantee against loss of a further £500. The guarantee against loss is discretionary and subject to receipt of accounts. Minor grants are of up to £600, normally to contribute to travel and accommodation costs for speakers. The Association has a policy of favouring open conferences over closed ones, and expects conference organizers to pay attention to gender and ethnic diversity, as appropriate, when putting the programme together. Conference grants are normally for conferences held in the British Isles. Applications should be made by email attachment to the Director of the Association, Professor Julian Dodd, at [email protected] using the appropriate form, available at:

http://www.mindassociation.org/

The subject heading of your email should read ‘Major/Minor Conference Grant Application’ as applicable. You should expect an acknowledgement by email within two or three weeks; if you do not receive an acknowledgement, then you cannot assume your application has been safely received. Results are sent out shortly after the Mind Executive meets to deliberate. There are two rounds per year, with deadlines (announced on the Mind webpage) normally scheduled shortly before our meetings in early November and April.
