Abstract
The chapter offers a personal account of speaking up against improper sexualization and sexual harassment from within the field of Jewish Studies. By narrating both her negative experiences and the empowering dynamic of speaking out about it, connecting these to a critical account of sexist patterns in academia, McGinity urges us all to reflect on how we can generate visibility for those who suffer under, and criticize carious forms of sexism. To speak truth to power is to persist.
