Childbirth after perioperative systemic therapy in patients with breast cancer: a retrospective single institutional study in Japan
Patients who gave childbirth after breast cancer tended to be younger and had an earlier stage of disease at the time of surgery, and childbirth did not worsen their prognosis.
HER2-low status may predict poor neoadjuvant chemotherapy response in HR-negative breast cancer: a real-world multicenter study
Our results demonstrate that patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-low breast tumors achieved a significantly lower pathological complete response rate with conventional chemotherapy than those with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-zero tumors, especially for hormone receptor-negative group.
Gynecology
Risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy for Japanese women with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer: a single-institution 10-year experience
Based on 10-year experience at a single institute, this retrospective study showed factors influencing decision-making for risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy among Japanese women with germline BRCA pathogenic variants and their clinical outcomes.
Definitive radiotherapy consisting of external beam radiotherapy without central shielding and 3D image-guided brachytherapy for patients with cervical cancer: feasibility for Japanese patients and dose–response analyses for local control in the low-dose range
Definitive radiotherapy consisting of external beam radiation without central shielding and 3D image-guided brachytherapy was feasible for Japanese patients with cervical cancer.

A comparison of skin grafts versus local flaps for facial skin cancer from the patient perspective: protocol for a feasibility study
Orthopedics/Sarcoma
Predictive value of peripheral blood markers in soft tissue sarcoma patients treated with eribulin
Changes in absolute lymphocyte count, especially when combined with neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, predict the prognosis of soft tissue sarcoma patients treated with eribulin.
Pediatrics
Gastrointestinal bleeding/ulcer among paediatric cancer patients after proton beam therapy
We reported gastrointestinal ulcer/bleeding in childhood cancer survivors after proton beam therapy. Four of 124 patients developed gastrointestinal ulcer/bleeding. These patients underwent intensified concurrent chemotherapy and higher irradiated doses at adolescent age.
Radiation Oncology
Hands-on seminar for image-guided adaptive brachytherapy and intracavitary/interstitial brachytherapy for uterine cervical cancer
Supported by JASTRO, a first hands-on seminar for intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy for cervical cancer was held to spur the implementation speed of intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy, which improved the level of confidence of the attendees.
Intensity-modulated radiation therapy for intermediate-risk prostate cancer: does ADT still have an impact in the dose-escalated external beam radiation therapy era?
Androgen deprivation therapy may not always be effective in all Japanese intermediate-risk prostate cancer patients treated with dose-escalated external beam radiotherapy, except for the patients with GS 4 + 3.

Treatment outcome after sequential chemotherapy with cisplatin-etoposide, amrubicin and nogitecan in patients with treatment-related pure small-cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer
Sequential chemotherapy with etoposide plus cisplatin (or carboplatin), amrubicin and nogitecan can be helpful for patients with treatment-related pure small-cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer.
