The Policy Board of the Journal of Consumer Research wishes to announce that the term of the current JCR editorial team—Bernd Schmitt, June Cotte, Markus Giesler, Andrew Stephen, and Stacy Wood—will be extended by one year to December 31, 2024. This extension was based on a decision by the Policy Board to replace the current policy of a three-year editorial term with a four-year term. The editors accepted the fourth-year extension under this new policy.
Because of this change, The JCR Policy Board will delay its call for nominations for a new editor in chief until the spring/summer of 2023. The editor in chief will be responsible for appointing co-editors, choosing associate editors and an editorial review board, selecting manuscript reviewers, writing decision letters, and accepting articles for publication. The next editorial term will begin on January 1, 2025, and end on December 31, 2028.
Please direct any questions or comments to Policy Board President Carolyn Yoon.
