In Engdahl and colleagues(1) the authors acknowledge the error in Fig. 1C. The microphotographs of osteoclast cultures that should have illustrated group 1 (upper middle) and group 5 (lower right), as well as group 2 (upper right) and group 3 (lower left), were mixed up and showed photos taken from the same well (upper middle/lower right and upper right/lower left). This error has now been corrected in Fig. 1C (below), and the authors regret any confusion and inconvenience this may have caused the readers of the JBMR.

(C) Fold change and representative microphotographs of osteoclasts after 72‐hour treatment differentiation of murine osteoclast precursors in the presence of 10 ng/mL MCV protein, unmodified vimentin protein, murine random IgG, or murine anti‐MCV Ab. TRAP‐positive cells with ≥3 nuclei were counted as osteoclasts. Statistical analysis was performed with repeated measurement two‐way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni multiple comparison (n = 8).
